Chrysler and Warner Bros. have partnered for an interesting project in which they have supplied Facebook users with the assets to create their own TV ad, to promote the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.
The campaign launched with a 60 second spot to promote the Imported from Gotham City site – a play on Chrysler’s famous line “Imported from Detroit”. [Watch]. Director Christopher Nolan himself will select from the top three Facebook fan voted entries.
The voting is currently underway, and the competing ads are available to watch [here]. We like the idea of crowdsourcing creativity from the most passionate of fans, and with a prize of a red carpet entrance to the world premiere, we’re pretty sure it will have attracted high engagement. KAPOW.
