Since its phenomenal burst onto the scene, we’ve seen some pretty cool uses of 2012′s fastest growing social network, Pinterest. We think this latest effort from Peugeot Panama is up there with some of the best.
They’ve devised a simple concept to launch their social media presence, in which users piece together images from various Peugeot online properties in a bid to complete a jigsaw puzzle. By placing this content on their Pinterest boards, website or Facebook page, Peugeot were able to familiarise users with their new online presence and engage simultaneously. All the Pinterest activity was of course, carefully linked to the main website to boost traffic. [Watch].
Those who were able to complete and submit the puzzle won discounts and prizes, and with over 50k Pinterest interactions, growth across their social media following, and a plethora of earned media, it’s been a rather successful exercise. Nice.
