Easyway app to support tv screens

EasyWaySubtitles, is a new service aiming to translate TV in real time, to make life easier for foreign viewers. It cites the growing number of foreign nationals in Brazil who are unable to access local television because of the language barrier. The app is a simple but clever marriage of Google Translate, and an old technology called closed captioning. A central server hooked to a TV creates the constant closed caption feed, while their website translates it into any language via Google.

We think it’s another great example of delivering useful collateral via a second screen, and in the week that ZeeBox announced live ads on its app in parallel with those on live TV, it again reveals the huge potential for creativity around second screen television viewing
