Every year something very special happens in Cannes, the world’s advertising elite descend on the Southern French town for a week of creativity, awards, incredible speakers and of course some good old partying. ‘Reluctantly’, our Director of Business Development James Bott threw his hat in the ring and flew off to soak up some media rays.
Particular highlights included Sean Combs AKA P Diddy degrading pretty much the entire advertising industry in front of…the industry, only to back track at the end due to the sea of frowns glaring at him. Other interesting speakers included Jack Black, Summly founder Nick D’Aloisio and Tumblr Entrepreneur David Karp. The Mobile Marketing Association were flying the flag for the mobile industry with a large orange tent on the beachside, and were joined by the likes of Flurry, Velti and others, spreading some mobile love.
M&C Saatchi were very fortunate to win a number of awards and the team celebrated with style at the Google party with special guest Tinie Tempah raising the roof at their beach hut.
James was very tired when he got back, but something tells me he’ll be back out there next year!
